College Student

The Army provides multiple pathways for those interested in a medical career, paying for medical school in return for service. By selecting one of these programs, you not only receive educational funding but also benefit from specialized training that distinguishes you from civilian professionals.

Medical and Dental Student

Medical and dental students have the option to join a physician officer commissioning program, allowing them to secure scholarships for the remainder of their education. They can also serve part-time in the Army Reserve, earn drill pay, and benefit from supplementary training opportunities.

Medical Resident

During residency, you are fully immersed in your medical specialty, and military service has the potential to broaden your training experience. You can take advantage of resources like the Financial Assistance Program, which supports residents with funding, or participate in programs specifically for the Army Reserve.

Licensed Professional

Licensed healthcare professionals may join the Army at any stage of their civilian careers. You can opt to serve full-time in the Army or continue your civilian practice while serving part-time in the Army Reserve.
